It’s not an easy thing to do. It doesn’t feel right at first, and it won’t be comfortable. But to move past yourself and your mistakes, it’s a necessary evil.
Okay, I admit it. I’m one of those people who start a new book even when they’re in the middle of reading about 50 other books. One day I wondered where my favorite bookmark had gone, so I could use it to mark my spot in a fresh book. Then I turned to my bookshelf to see it sticking out of another book. Oops.
I always tell myself that I’ll get around to it, eventually, but eventually never happens.
Why did the chicken cross the road?
To get to the other side.
Mind-blowing aside, this is a serious question that has bothered me and plagued my thoughts all of my life. What happens after we die? Do we get to watch, from above or wherever else our souls may rest?
Things that I grew up with stay with me. You start a certain way, and then you spend your whole life trying to find a certain simplicity that you had. It’s less about staying in childhood than keeping a certain spirit of seeing things in a different way.

We all have those little things that we like to hold on to, even if we’re not so sure why we do. Though I hoard many insignificant items, there are quite a few that I’ve emotionally bonded with, and would never give away.
